From our farm to your plate
Since we opened in October 2008, we have served beef and lamb exclusively from our own farm in Matfen, Northumberland. All our animals are grass-fed and free to roam across acres of farmland.
Ian Scott, our farmer, breeds Limousin X cows and Texel lambs, and ensures that we only receive them when they are ready to come off the farm, not because the market says it’s time.
The meat is then hung here at Rotunda in our specially built hanging room and our Butcher, Neil, works to ensure the best quality meat and most interesting cuts are available for the chef to put on the menu.
The owners have a farm in Northumberland as well as an on-site hanging room, so meats cooked on the Josper grill are a particularly good bet
